History & Overview

Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS) was founded in 2008 as a management institute under the umbrella of Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust. ABBS is recognized as the 6th best B-school in Karnataka in 2021.

Our learning programmes are crafted by seasoned industry leaders and feature an array of elements including industry interfacing, entrepreneurship development, live workshops, Management Development Programmes and publication development. ABBS offers multiple courses across management, commerce, life sciences, media and communication, each carefully blended for a valuable learning experience.

The success of our programmes is mirrored in the collaborations we have established with corporate houses over the past years. We draw valuable insights from industry liaisons that work towards improving the educational and recruitment process for the students at ABBS.

Located in India’s Garden City, ABBS is surrounded by five sprawling acres of greenery and sunshine. Our spacious classrooms, well-equipped hostels and state-of-the-art sports facilities build an ecosystem that is tailored to your needs.

SAMAGRA SIKSHANA SAMITHI TRUST

The Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust (SSST) was founded in 1996. Led by the commitment of the Trustees, SSST has accomplished appreciable growth since its establishment. SSST has achieved this by building role-model institutions for health sciences, basic sciences, management, law, humanities, commerce, IT and paramedical streams. SSSTs success relies on the seamless amalgamation of learning and living.

Governed by eminent scientists and academics, the Board of SSST institutions is led by Dr B. Vijaypal Reddy, an accomplished medical professional.

ABBS was established in 2008 under the aegis of the Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust (SSST), which was founded in 1996. The Trust is led by Dr. B. Vijaypal Reddy, an accomplished medical professional and the current Chairman of ABBS.

Yes, ABBS has established academic partnerships with several international universities, including Daito Bunka University, Wenzhou University, St. Mary's University, Sunway University, and Rennes School of Business. These collaborations aim to enhance the global exposure and opportunities available to students.

ABBS is affiliated with Bangalore University and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is recognized under sections 2(f) and 12(b) by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institution has been accredited with a Grade 'A' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is also accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Additionally, the MBA department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

ABBS is situated on a 5-acre campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka, often referred to as India's Garden City. The campus features spacious classrooms, well-equipped hostels, and state-of-the-art sports facilities, creating an ecosystem conducive to both learning and personal development.

ABBS’ Toastmaster Club

ABBS’ Toastmaster Club helps faculty members and students collaborate on learning and growing. We raise a toast to our efforts and talents.

The Toastmaster members build leadership skills by organizing and conducting meetings. Club leadership roles and leadership development programs also offer opportunities to learn and practise for the careers students want to build for themselves. Just as the Toastmasters’ learn to speak simply by speaking, they learn leadership by leading.

ABBS TOASTMASTERS CLUB is a close-knit college club organised by the students of ABBS. It is a supportive and enthusiastic environment where students help each other grow and learn skills beyond communication and leadership. The Toastmasters program specifically targets critical thinking, giving feedback, time management, planning and implementation, organization and delegation, facilitation, mentoring, motivation, and team-building. Our TM club has had the honour of bagging the ‘The Distinguished Club’ status for the year 2020-21. Our 100th TM meeting was attended by distinguished guests from various Toastmaster clubs across India.

This club has helped build skills like expressing effectively, networking, developing confidence and honing leadership abilities which has resulted in impressive placements and exciting careers. All senior members have earned a certificate of ‘Competent Communicator’ which is highly valued in the corporate sector.

One of the best things college has to offer is community living. We at ABBS want to help you make a home away from home and we endeavour to make your transition as seamless as possible. Our intimate housing and dining facilities are designed to help you feel at home and are made to help you immerse yourself comfortably in this brand-new phase.

ABBS holds independent hostels close to the campus, each equipped with Wi-Fi, hot water, lockers, a television and 24/7 security. Each room is fitted with a comfortable bed, a study table and a spacious wardrobe.

Each hostel’s mess hall serves a diverse variety of cuisines. ABBS also features a cafeteria, called The Hideout Café. The Hideout Café offers more than just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary where minds meet, ideas brew, and spirits rejuvenate. With its cozy ambiance, friendly service, and diverse menu, our cafeteria has become a beloved spot among students and faculty alike.
